Our Services

Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) is emerging as an important technology for industrial players to reduce their CO2 emissions. A key part of the CCS value chain is linking the locations where CO2 is captured to those where it is stored. In many cases, the most efficient way to do this is by using specially designed ships and barges.

OCEOS provides highly efficient and reliable shipping and barging solutions for transporting CO2With OCEOS, you can focus on your core business knowing that your CO2 is being transported efficiently and reliably to wherever you wish.

Who we are

OCEOS is a joint venture between Air Liquide and Sogestran. It offers industry leading solutions by combining Air Liquide’s expertise in handling CO2 with Sogestran’s deep experience of owning and operating gas and chemical tankers for the O&G industry.

Air Liquide

A world leader in gases, technologies and services for Industry and Health, Air Liquide is present in 73 countries with approximately 67,100 employees and serves more than 3.9 million customers and patients.

Supporting the decarbonization of Industry is one of the strategic pillars of Air Liquide, which is committed to addressing the urgency of climate change and reach carbon neutrality by 2050

At the forefront of CO2 technology

Air Liquide has a longstanding experience in CO2 management, from capture, purification and liquefaction to storage and transport from various sources.

One of Air Liquide’s key capabilities in CO2 capture is a market-leading development and application of cryogenic processes, which involve the use of low temperatures to separate gases. Air Liquide’s principal range of products in this field is known as Cryocap™.

As efficient and safe CO2 handling is a key part of a LCO2 carrying vessel, OCEOS is drawing on this deep experience of CO2 to develop optimized solutions.

Sogestran

The Sogestran Group, founded in 1947, is organised into four main business lines:
